Mr. Brown began his role in development services at Cape Fear Commercial in September of 2009 after collaborating with the company’s Partners on multiple projects since the summer of 2003, when Mike worked as a summer Intern for the company. In his position, he is responsible for identifying and managing new and ongoing development projects for the firm and its clients.

Mike is a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with a degree in both Economics and Management in Society. He began his career in Sales for Pulte Homes Corporation, a publicly traded Fortune 200 company, within their Raleigh/Durham market, where he worked for 18 months before being recruited to work on the company’s land development team, responsible for acquiring, entitling, and developing the division’s annual 800+ lot supply. While at Pulte Homes, Inc., Mike managed the development of a lot supply valued at over $45,000,000 for the company.

In 2007, Mike was recruited by the developers of Autumn Hall, a high profile 236 acre mixed use project, located in Wilmington, NC, to join their development team as the project’s Development Manager, responsible for all planning, entitlements, and ongoing development activities at Autumn Hall. Mike continues to be heavily involved in the Autumn Hall project in his role with Cape Fear Commercial, and remains the project’s Development Manager. A native of Wilmington, Mike prides himself in remaining involved in the local community. Mike serves as a co-chair of Coastal Carolina Tomorrow’s Transportation Committee, is an Executive Committee Member for the Cape Fear Council of Boy Scouts of America, and is an active member of Saint James Church.
